Prescription Policy Update
Effective immediately, Prairie Sounds Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound will no longer be approving prescription requests from “outside” online pharmacies due to ongoing service issues. This change allows us to ensure the highest quality of care and avoid communication errors that have led to delays and frustration for our clients.
We understand this is a change, and we want to ensure a smooth transition for everyone. We can provide you with a written prescription if you prefer to use an online pharmacy other than our recommended option.
For clients of Prairie Sounds Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound: Our online pharmacy (https://prairierivermvp.covetruspharmacy.com/) will remain available to you through October 2025. After this date, you will need to seek prescription services through another veterinary practice.
For all written and regular prescription requests, please allow 1-2 business days (24-48 hours) for processing. Special order products require 5-7 business days. A “$20.00 rush fee” will apply to immediate requests.
We’ve made this decision with your pet’s well-being in mind. The supply chain for “outside” online pharmacies can be unreliable, potentially leading to expired, improperly stored, or ineffective medications. Furthermore, supporting local businesses helps to strengthen our community.
